Compressor Leak Detection

I have 2-piston 60 gallon compressor rig with a small leak. After a full "load" in the tank, the compressor will kick on again after 2 hours of non-use - is this a "small" leak? Not sure. Regardless, if the check valve on the piston side is NOT leaking, doesn't that mean the leak MUST be coming from somewhere on the outlet side?

YOu did not state how old you compressor and tank were but they do rust out on the bottom from water build up inside, you may want to see if the bottom is wet.

Id say that is more than a small leak, I soapy watered all my connections and fittings upon installation and was happy to see 150psi after 12 hrs. I would double check everything, Soap and water is an easy one, Lighter is even easier and cheaper. Light your lighter next to all fittings and see if flame burns out. AIR COMPRESSOR air only lol
