Hi Guys,
I am new to these boards, but used to do a lot of scroll saw work and designing patterns.
With the plasma torch, I do not own a table/CNC and do all my work freehand with a pattern that I cut out with a vinyl cutter and some paint mask.
Anyways, I noticed that a lot of you use .DXF files for you CNC rigs and just wondering what software to use to convert some of my patterns over to .DXF? Right now, I own photoshop and can save images in a variety of formats, I can also load jpg's and bmp's into my vinyl cutter software and convert to vector. Is there anything that you use to convert? Like I said, I rarely use dxf since I am not using CNC and do not need g-code or anything like that, but sure would like to get you all some patterns posted.
New Guy,
Jeremy (scrollerj)

Re: conversion
Try Inkscape. It's free and pretty fast.
