QCAD to Inkscape

Post by TrinityFabworks »

I bought the full version of Qcad quite a while ago to convert DXF files to SVG files to be able to edit in inkscape. Lately I have been having an issue when opening in inkscape, the lines look all connected, but when I click on them, it is many smaller lines. I would like to be able to have it a solid image that I can use the "difference" command to be able to cut it out of different (larger) shapes. Is there anyway to fix this?

This may not work but if you take the cursor and put a box around the whole drawing and then go to path and hit combine, then save it.
The box is not a boarder around but a way to highlight all the parts of the original drawing. here is a test I just did to check it out.
