Re: new torch
Hook up the ground? Turn on the air?
I don't have PC, but occasionally my torch gets into X,Y position and then doesn't go down and touch the plate like it's supposed to before firing. I run the tip down Z manually until it just touches, back it up to about a 1/4 inch, rewind the g-code and restart, and that usually fixes the problem. Happens maybe 1 in 50 times, usually when the torch starts out real high because I just changed the tip or put new steel down and had the tip up way high.
I also run a 45.

Check to make sure your ground clamp is on.....I had mine get knocked off and had the same problem.....took me an hour of scratching my head to figure it out
