help with kerf
I am trying to cut a slot for a tab 1" x 1/8". When the cut is made the inside diameter is less than what I need. is there a way to offset or adjust the kerf to compensate for the difference to accurately cut this slot?

Re: help with kerf
Just put the inside cut on a different layer, and just modify your kerf settings that way.. With SheetCam it's easy to do,but who knows what you are running? No info provided..

Others will have to help you there, but probably a real simple way to do it..

Re: help with kerf
You can set the actual kerf width of the cut in the settings tabs. This will be different whenever you change amperage, cut speed , cut height and material thickness. If you have a Hypertherm plasma you can find suggested kerf widths in the operators manual. If not....do a test cut, measure the cut kerf width and enter that. The cut file that Design Edge generates will compensate for the width that you set, making inside and outside dimensions more accurate. Jim Colt. hypertherm
