Check size of nested parts in Mach3

Post by acourtjester »

Here is a little trick I noticed that should be helpful when checking the size of parts or groups of part fitting on metal. I have started adding the size of the cut field in the name of the file when I plan the operation in SheetCam. For files before that when you have the G-code loaded and you "0" out the DRO's ready to cut. You can move the X or Y lines across the image with the keyboard arrows to the far side of the cut area and the DRO will show the size. This will work with an office PC not hooked to a table too, if you want to check before going out to the shop.
