Cut quality and hole shape

Post by minkong92 »

Hey everyone,

This was my first attempt trying to cut something using code generated with sheetcam. Does anyone know why the line on the left was made uneven while the other outer edges are okay? Also, any advice on how to make the circles more circular? They were modelled as 5 mm holes in solidworks, is that too small for a cheap cnc plasma cutter to handle? I was using a feed rate of 550 mm / min when cutting.

Sorry for so many questions, as I said, first attempt cutting something.

As Dennis said there are some great tips in the tip section. Also make sure in SheetCam you have the box for reverse cut checked.
Then read up on cutting holes.
