Good Morning,
I have an HP 600 that has a sticking air valve. If I tap it a little it will eventually open up. Is there a way to fix this and to prevent it from happening again? I use a prefilter and two moiture filters before the cutter.
Thanks for the help, Tim Red Robin Creatives

Re: Sticking Valve
I use to have a hypertherm 1000.. If we are talking about the same valve you will have to replace it..I had the same problem, was not the cutters fault it was all gummed up from poor quality air.

Re: Sticking Valve
Some of the solenoids used on Hypertherm plasma systems can be disassembled carefully. I would attempt to take it apart and carefully clean internal components with a safe solvent...maybe rubbing alcohol, and re assemble. Keep in mind that if this does not work, you will have to replace the solenoid valve! I suggest talking with the great guys at Hypertherm tech service.....they talk people through similar fixes many times a day, they may have some tricks that can help you out! Dennis,
I guess it is time to invest in better filters. Thanks for your help.

Re: Sticking Air Valve Hypertherm 600
What is the cost of these valves? Is it worth having an extra one on hand? I have a 600 as well, I don't need the down time.
Thanks, Metal Lee
