pierce

Post by azindianrider »

I have an eagle table with sheetcam and Mach3. I have a CM52 cutting 1/4 plate.

When circles are cut the piecing creates a nub on the outside of the line?

Not being able to see what you're talking about I can only guess your lead in is too short allowing the pierce to burn into the edge of your circle. When you post process your file in Sheetcam set your lead in to ark type and about .012 inch and see if this helps.

I usually use an arc lead in and set the length of the lead in to the radius of the hole. (i.e. 1" dia. hole, 1/2" lead in)
Jim Colt has posted advice on how to get good quality holes on here several times. A search should show up his posts.
