Wavy cuts

I am getting a wavy line cut when the table cuts along the long axis. seems mostly when it initiates the cut, but I can see that the circle is got straight lines as well. I have made sure all the gears are tight on the motors ant that there is no slop in the gantry.

Working with a TM3 with water table separate from the actual CNC table. Hypertherm 65 using fine cut consumables.

how is the torch mount could it be loose??

I can't move the cassette back and forth. This is a bolt together table and I am wondering if that might be the issue?

Edit: does not seem to matter where it is on the table either. I thought if I did have movement in the table making the part near the corner might lessen the wobble, but it was the same.

You don't suppose there are loose guide bearings or binding on the long axis? Maybe a little slop that shouldn't be there?

Loose table can cause that but if you have straight cutting slats the metal could be moving on the slats. Slats need to be stationary just another thing to check.

Yeah, I am frustrated. checked all I know how and the problem is still there?

My problem is on the long axis x/y only, seems to do fine otherwise. I have tightened every nut, bolt and set screw there is on the machine with no change. The CNC table is not bolted to the water table,TM said it was not necessary. The table has been flawless for a year this way until now?

The water table shouldn't have anything to do with it. You have something loose or something is out-of-round. Check all your bearings, pull them off and see if there is something on them such as gunk or any other foreign object. You can also try putting a pen on the torch and drawing the image instead of cutting it. Just tun the cutter off (you may need to turn off the THC too.) If the pen is also wobbling then you can rule out the torch.

were the rails bolt to the gantry put a straight edge ..u may have over tighten them ..

I have checked all the bearings and taken them off and rotated them around the table. It seems as if all of them are rotating smoothly, but that was with no weight on them. I am a little bit confused about what else could drag.
I would appreciate a second set of eyes. I am in Hopland CA. My wife is an excellent cook...lol

if u run a cut from one end to the other of the x only an one on the y only what ur cut like...ok when u jog the axes check an see if its binding

I did with no change.
Tm says I need to stiffen up the table.
I don't understand why torchmate has the customer add support parts to the table to make it functional, they should just sell them that way, but I am adding braces to the table to try and solve my problem.
Tm won't do any more trouble shooting until I eliminate the table wobble.

what speed are u cutting at..what amps

I'm running the manual specs for fine Cut 14 gauge. My amps are @45 V @74 speed @150 cuts better @220, but lots more wobble.
