I use a Motor Guard following a glass-bowl water separator, for powder coating and general shop use. And another in-line for the plasma cutter.

You might look at Harbor Freight. They sell, and I have, a dessicant dryer that is about 2-3" in diameter and three feet long (give or take). Takes several pounds of dessicant, the only drawback is there is no view window to tell when the dessicant needs changing. Bob.

I also run my air through 50 feet of tubing before it hits the dryer to help cool off the hot air.
