3/4" plate with my Hypertherm 1250
This morning.... it's saturday.... I cut up a bunch of parts for a guy out of 3/4" plate... I ruined 4 80 amp tips.... the tips never touched the metal... the pierce time was just barely long enough.... any suggestions?

tip too close and increase dwell ? can you give us more info. pierce height should be around twice the cut height.
It's a bummer when it happens but with enough data I'm sure the guys and gals on here will find the problem for you.

I cut 3/4 with my HT1000. 60 amp. I just use the settings in the manual and it cut fine with no problems.
