Transporting items to craft shows

Hi. I need some ideas on the best way to transport metal art to craft shows. We have wrapped them in paper and placed them in crates only to have blemishes occur in the finish. Bummer!! Please post us your ideas along with pictures and instructions on how to put it together. Thanks
