Hey guys, I'm a novice with inkscape. I've used it to trace a few simple bitmaps but i am really struggling with this one. I need to get just the black parts of this image and get rid of the water, sky, and drop shadows. Does anyone know how i can isolate a single color and get rid of all the unwanted mess? I know i've got my work cut out for me cleaning up the lines on such a low quality image but as far as i know this will be a good start.
If anyone has any comments or suggestions i would love to hear them I am at my wit's end.

Re: Struggling to get a trace
That's the trouble i keep running into. I always lose the fishing rod and the cat tails. very frustrating for me.
Thanks acourtjester I appreciate you giving it a whirl.

Easiest thing to do, is go find each piece of the art separately and combine them. Search Cat tails, aviators etc.
Just my .02, thats how i've done it in the past.
cheers, -Doc.
