Re: bobcad help
George,
I tried it in V21, but didn't have any luck either....in fact I think there is a bug in my version (downloading a later build might solve the problem) When I hover my mouse over the "Fit text to Path" line in the menu, the bottom status bar shows "Unknown menu item 10316".
In V22 and V23, it works fine. You enter the text then choose the "Fit text to Curve" from the menu. Next you select the text, the start of your path and it's direction and you're done.
If I get it to work in 21 I'll let you know.

Re: bobcad help
I drew an ellipse, entered the text, then tried to "fit text to path". I didn't have any other entities in the drawing.....which is what makes me think there is a problem. If it doesn't work with that simple of a scenario, something ain't right.
I did the same thing in V22 and V23...both worked fine.
Normally, I use Corel X5 for artwork and text.....and Bobcad for dimensioned parts like brackets, gussets, etc. Rarely do I use Bobcad, if intricate clipart or text is involved.

Re: bobcad help
I use Bob cad for just about everything. If you have a ellipse you have to use the offset line function to duplicate the ellipse larger and parallel to the current ellipse. If you want to fit text to path your path must be a continuous line or arc that is long enough to fit the text you are using. if you are trying to place text on a ellipse you have to do a 3 point curve to next to the ellipse you are trying to place the text on. Then you fit text to path on the 3 point curve, once you vector your text you can move each letter into the proper place and erase the 3 point curve. once I learned v-21 I could draw up a sign in about 1/10 the time it took me in correll. The best thing about bobcad is you can vector any TTfont you can download most of them for free. I have done close to 200 "artistic" signs using bobcad 21 and would never go back to correll. Bobcad is a PIA to learn but once you do it's really easy Version 23 sucks for doing plasma though.
Hope this helps
