Video of my Arclight 9600 working

Post by little blue choo »

I know this will be boring for most of you but it is a big accomplishment for me. I have it cutting great with very little dross. A couple of months ago I knew nothing about a CNC plasma table and now I'm designing and cutting my own projects, simple things now but I will grow with the help of this forum and all the great people here. I learn a lot by just keeping my mouth shut and reading.
Thanks again

Nice work. 16 gauge? Looks pretty quick and clean for the most part.

Hi Steel 32, apolagies to "little blue choo for hijacking!

Steel 32, be careful of what you wish for, I have slowed my machine right down :o
I had an issue wher it / me was trying to go to fast and things, some stupid things were happening.
Thanks to Tom at CandCNC I detuned my settings as per his recomendations and my machine now cuts everything.
No more messed up sheets :x no more messing about trying to get pieces finished after a (you know what)
maybe slower but it does get the job done and as it should be, even started getting better quality cuts :D
If you want have a look at

and you can see what I mean

My machine sitting still with the air / air compressor making noise and nothing else happening even for part of a second it stands my hair up!
When I get a rotary issue figured out with Luke I will follow up with this one. Thanks

send him your MACH XML Profile that works and the one that does not. We can run it here and figure out which setting is causing the torch fire issue

Thanks Drossmaker. I started with a GREAT machine and some of the best hands on training anyone could have. I've had my machine up and running about 4 months and thanks to Arclights training videos and the good people on this forum I'm beginning to feel comfortable with it. Due to by other business's I get very little time to play but when I do it's heaven.
